After a very hectic and satisfying June and July teaching three summer session courses at Hofstra to undergrad PR students and graduate journalism students, I’m heading west for some R&R and some learning. I’ll be making stops in Maryland and then Nashville to see friends and sample some country music (my wife’s thing, not mine). Then it’s on to St. Louis for the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication’s annual conference, featuring sessions and panels on the latest research, teaching methods and public service in the various components of journalism and mass communication.
That said, I hope to bring home some interesting topics and observations when I return on August 16th. Until then, my brain and my keyboard are being put on hold until I leave Nashville.
Enjoy your August! Your thoughts?
